Bristol-Myers Squibb is widely recognised for excellence in providing some of
the world’s most important medicines to patients. At the same time, we are also
an acknowledged leader in corporate philanthropy and sustainability.

— particularly the urban and rural poor, women, racial and ethnic minorities,
and marginalised people — experience worse health outcomes compared to others.
The Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation seeks to address these health disparities.
In India, the Foundation’s work (related to hepatitis) represents a significant
part of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Delivering Hope, an umbrella program in the
areas of hepatitis awareness, prevention and care.
Since 2002, the Foundation has supported efforts in Asia, initially focusing on
prevention of mother-to-child transmission of hepatitis B and promoting
hepatitis B immunization in China. In 2006, the Foundation expanded those
efforts to India to provide broader support for hepatitis B and C awareness,
prevention and education as well as adoption and integration of hepatitis B and
C interventions and health education in public health programs.
Today, the Foundation’s priority hepatitis B and C programs encompass capacity
building for healthcare professionals and lay health workers, disease education
and awareness. In addition, the Foundation strives to share best practices in
the prevention and management of hepatitis B and C and communicate public
